Elevate Your RF Link: Horn, Standard Gain Horn, Log-Periodic & Ka-Band Antennas

RFFPV designs and builds precision RF and microwave antennas engineered for test, aerospace, satcom and EMC applications. Below is a quick guide to our four core antenna families.

Horn Antennas

A horn antenna couples waveguide EM energy to free space through a flaring aperture, delivering high gain and directivity with low VSWR. Our horns are used in EMC testing, microwave relay and satellite ground terminals, where predictable pattern and durable construction matter.

Standard Gain Horn Antennas

Precisely calibrated traceable to NIST/ISO standards, standard gain horns serve as the reference for antenna gain and radiation-pattern measurements. Choose one when your test setup needs a known, repeatable gain value across a defined band.

Standard Gain Horn vs. Log-Periodic: How to Choose

  • Standard gain horn — fixed frequency band, calibrated gain reference → pick it for lab measurement and antenna calibration.
  • Log-periodic — inherently broadband, near-constant impedance and gain across a wide span → pick it for spectrum monitoring, EMC scans and broadband coverage where a single antenna must cover multiple bands.

Log-Periodic Antennas

Our log-periodic series covers wide frequency spans with stable gain and VSWR, built for both indoor lab and outdoor deployment. Typical uses: spectrum monitoring, EMC pre-compliance and broadband RF surveillance.

Ka-Band Antennas

Operating across 26.5–40 GHz (WR-28), our Ka-band standard gain horns deliver high gain and narrow beamwidth for satellite internet, military comms, radar and remote sensing—applications demanding high data throughput in harsh environments.

Why RFFPV

  • Frequency coverage — from VHF through millimeter-wave (up to 110 GHz).
  • Test-grade accuracy — calibrated gain, documented performance, built for repeatable measurement.
  • Off-the-shelf or custom — standard models ship fast; custom flanges, connectors and radomes available.

Browse the Antennas Collection to match your frequency band and application. For system integration, pair an antenna with our low-loss phase-stable cable assemblies, waveguide-to-coax adapters (WR-28 to 2.92mm, 26.5–40 GHz) and GPPO/Mini-SMP connectors.
